The Centre provides a communal environment where everyone is valued, basic educational, recreational, social and excercise programs, opportunities for community integration and individual growth, volunteer experience, employment skill development, and most importantly friendship and fun times.Social Concern Program
The purpose of the Social Concern Office is to provide emergency assistance, mainly in the form of food and clothing, to needy people; to act as a counselling and referral service; and to coordinate Home Visits. While the Society of St. Vincent de Paul has its origins with members of the Catholic Faith, the Society assits any person regardless of race or religion.Society Thrift Stores
The Society has four stores to serve you throughout Greater Victoria and one located in Courtenay. Each store recycles your donated items for reuse in the community.Twinning
Twinning has been described as a lingering labor of love. It may take three to six months, or longer, to establish a twinning. Patience and persistence in maintaining contact will support the process.
