In 1964 St. Joseph the Worker Conference formed and later aggregated in 1990. Monthly Conference meetings are held in the Rectory Meeting Room. As of last year there were 10 active members and only one associate member.

All recipients of assistance from our conference are visited each month. As well, we continue support to our twinned Conferences in Colombia (Holy Spirit, Cucuta, Colombia) and India (St. Joseph's, Kerala, India).

In 2007 St. Joseph's provided milk to families through food vouchers, held 2 major food drives, shared the cost and associated expenses of a family obtaining official Refugee status, and took on two larger assistance projects: $100 a month plus milk to a Colombian doctor working toward being qualified to practice in Canada and providing ongoing assistance of $100 a month plus milk to the women of Edith Gulland House which is part of the Victoria Human Exchange Society.

St. Joseph's received a generous donation this year of $500 from Columbia Lodge #2, Independent Order of Odd fellows, to assist in building an additional room in Gulland House which will house at least one more young woman, a project to be carried out this year.

"Father William, our Pastor, has been so supportive toward us, and the work that we do, and we are indeed grateful."
-- Paula Fogelklou, President, St. Joseph's Conference
