100% of your donation goes to direct services that impact the lived of those individuals, families and children who request our help.
How your money was spent in 2007:
- Distributed $310,000 in food and food vouchers.
- Distributed $233,000 in clothing, household items, and furniture.
- Provided work training program, a woman's day program, life skills training, an income tax program and advocacy for those in need
- Provided food to the S.J. Willis alternative school hot lunch program, the UVIC breakfast club for children, the Youth Empowerment Society, the Burnside Gorge Annual Summer BBQ program, women's transition houses and the Human Exchange Society homes.
Charitable tax receipts are distributed every Feburary for cash donations received during the prior calendar year. (Or for items of considerable value, only after they have been appraised by a third party).
