When a family member or an individual with disabilities contacts Social Concern Office staff, by phone or in person, the staff arrange for two Society members to visit the family or the individual in their home. During the visit, the Society members complete a needs assessment and provide such emergency assistance as required.
The assistance provided may take the form of a voucher to procure food, clothing, furniture, or limited medical assistance. The vouchers may be redeemed at selected grocery stores, pharmacies or at a Society store.
